Frequently asked

Questions about topics

What's the difference between a topic and a track?
Tracks are full career paths: Quant Developer, Quant Researcher, and Quant Trader. Each track has its own curriculum and study plan. Topics are subject areas like probability, C++, or market making. Most candidates work across several topics regardless of which track they target.
How are topics chosen?
Every topic on Myntbit comes from a real question asked at a top quant firm. We tag each question with its topic, and a topic shows up here once it has at least 5 questions in the library.
Can I focus on just one topic?
Yes. Open any topic page and you will see the full question list filtered to that topic, the recommended easy-to-hard progression, and the firms that ask it most often. The training page also takes a topic filter directly in the URL.
Are new topics added over time?
Yes. We add a new topic once the question library has enough coverage to make the section useful. If there is a specific topic you want next, suggest it on the contribute page.
How does this connect to study plans?
Study plans bundle topics into firm-specific or role-specific sequences. Each plan tells you which topics to do and in what order. Browse the directory when you want to explore on your own. Pick a study plan when you have a target firm in mind.
