Compensation

All amounts in USD per year. Leave blank if not applicable.

Verification (optional)

Upload an offer letter or comp screenshot to get a Verified badge on your row in the dataset (everything else ships as Unverified). Verified submissions are the only ones that earn a $5 to $15 thank-you payout, sized to the depth of the data. Personal details are fine to redact before uploading. PDF or image, up to 5 MB.

How we handle your data

The file: reviewed by an admin to confirm the numbers, then deleted from our storage as soon as the verdict ships. We never repost it.

Your email: only used once, to send you the dataset link. Not published, not added to any list.

The numbers: aggregated and anonymized. Each row is split from your contact details on receipt; the two are never re-joined.

Payment Information (optional)

Where to send the $5 to $15 payout if your offer letter clears verification. Skip this if you only want dataset access.

Payment method

By submitting, you confirm the data is accurate and you agree to the Privacy Notice. Your email is never published or tied to your submission.

Quality bar

What good submissions look like

Partial data is fine, missing data is fine. The more of the picture you fill in, the more useful the row is to the next person reading it, and the higher your verified payout sizes.

Spell out the role

Title, team, and seniority. A quant researcher on a market-making desk does meaningfully different work than one on a stat-arb pod, and the comp picture follows.

Break the package apart

Base salary, target annual bonus, sign-on, and any year-vesting equity. Each lever moves comp differently, and most readers care about exactly one of them.

Anchor it to a year

Quant pay shifts year over year, sometimes a lot. A 2022 number reads very differently from a 2026 number, and the year is what makes the comparison fair.

Where the data comes from

Quant comp, not survey averages

Submissions come straight from people on the desk: traders, researchers, devs, and analysts at the firms below. Each one is checked against the within-firm distribution before it lands in the published dataset, so what you see is what people are actually getting paid.

Plus a long tail of smaller prop shops and hedge funds. Where a firm only has a handful of submissions, we bucket it into a tier so no one row can be traced back to a person.

What you get for submitting

Trade your numbers for everyone else's

Four guarantees behind the program. The data only stays good if the people on the desk keep it good, so the rules are written for them, not for us.

01 · Privacy

Contact details split from data on receipt

When your submission lands, the back-office writes your email and your numbers to two separate stores and never re-joins them. The published dataset carries no PII, no hashed identifiers, no traceback path. Your email is used once, to send you the dataset link, and that is it.

Identifiers in published rowsZero

02 · Sanity check

Each row read by a real reviewer

Before publication, every submission is checked against the existing within-firm distribution and our verified-employee samples. Anything that looks off gets a one-line follow-up email. Submissions that fail the check are dropped before they ship.

03 · Trade

One row in, every row out

A verified submission gets you lifetime access to the entire dataset: base, sign-on, annual bonus, and equity sliced by firm, role, location, and years of experience. Upload your offer letter and a verified submission also pays out $5 to $15 via PayPal or crypto, sized to the depth of the data.

04 · Cadence

Re-published every quarter

Submissions roll in continuously, but the public dataset re-cuts on a quarterly cadence so cohorts have enough data to be statistically meaningful. Recruiting season, bonus reveals, and firm-tier shifts show up in the next refresh, not on a delay.

FAQ

Common compensation questions

How is anonymity actually enforced?
On receipt, the back-office splits your record into two: contact (your email, used only to send you the dataset) and data (role, comp, firm, etc.). The two are never rejoined. The published dataset has no PII, no hashed identifiers, and no field combinations that could identify a specific person.
What's in the dataset I get back?
Base salary, sign-on bonus, annual bonus or target, equity per year, role, experience band, location, offer year, and firm. Aggregated views by role and band. CSV download plus an in-browser explorer. Updated quarterly.
How do you stop people from gaming the dataset?
Each submission is reviewed for plausibility against the existing within-firm distribution and against verified-employee samples we maintain separately. Outliers get a quick follow-up email. Confirmed bad data is dropped before publishing.
Can I submit if my offer was years ago?
Yes. We tag every submission with the offer year so historical comp still shows up correctly. The dataset has time-series views that let you see how each firm's comp has shifted over time.
Do you actually pay for submissions?
Yes, when an offer letter is uploaded and the submission clears verification. The thank-you payout is $5 to $15 via PayPal or crypto, sized to how detailed the submission is (base only is on the low end; full breakdown with equity vesting and bonus history is on the high end). Submissions without an offer letter still get the dataset access in return, just no cash.
Why should I trust you with this?
Three reasons. One: we publish nothing that could identify you. Two: the value of the dataset to everyone (you included) depends on real submissions, so we have a strong incentive to keep it clean. Three: if you're worried, submit from a personal email and a non-work device.
What firms are covered?
Citadel, Citadel Securities, Jane Street, Two Sigma, Optiver, Jump Trading, DE Shaw, HRT, IMC, DRW, SIG, Virtu, Akuna, Belvedere, and a long tail of mid-tier prop shops and hedge funds. Firms with low submission counts are bucketed into a tiered group to preserve anonymity.
Can I update or remove my submission later?
Yes. Email comp@myntbit.com from the same address you submitted with. We will update or delete the row on request, no questions asked. The next quarterly refresh reflects the change.
