What good submissions look like
Partial data is fine, missing data is fine. The more of the picture you fill in, the more useful the row is to the next person reading it, and the higher your verified payout sizes.
Spell out the role
Title, team, and seniority. A quant researcher on a market-making desk does meaningfully different work than one on a stat-arb pod, and the comp picture follows.
Break the package apart
Base salary, target annual bonus, sign-on, and any year-vesting equity. Each lever moves comp differently, and most readers care about exactly one of them.
Anchor it to a year
Quant pay shifts year over year, sometimes a lot. A 2022 number reads very differently from a 2026 number, and the year is what makes the comparison fair.
Where the data comes from
Quant comp, not survey averages
Submissions come straight from people on the desk: traders, researchers, devs, and analysts at the firms below. Each one is checked against the within-firm distribution before it lands in the published dataset, so what you see is what people are actually getting paid.
Plus a long tail of smaller prop shops and hedge funds. Where a firm only has a handful of submissions, we bucket it into a tier so no one row can be traced back to a person.
What you get for submitting
Trade your numbers for everyone else's
Four guarantees behind the program. The data only stays good if the people on the desk keep it good, so the rules are written for them, not for us.
01 · Privacy
Contact details split from data on receipt
When your submission lands, the back-office writes your email and your numbers to two separate stores and never re-joins them. The published dataset carries no PII, no hashed identifiers, no traceback path. Your email is used once, to send you the dataset link, and that is it.
02 · Sanity check
Each row read by a real reviewer
Before publication, every submission is checked against the existing within-firm distribution and our verified-employee samples. Anything that looks off gets a one-line follow-up email. Submissions that fail the check are dropped before they ship.
03 · Trade
One row in, every row out
A verified submission gets you lifetime access to the entire dataset: base, sign-on, annual bonus, and equity sliced by firm, role, location, and years of experience. Upload your offer letter and a verified submission also pays out $5 to $15 via PayPal or crypto, sized to the depth of the data.
04 · Cadence
Re-published every quarter
Submissions roll in continuously, but the public dataset re-cuts on a quarterly cadence so cohorts have enough data to be statistically meaningful. Recruiting season, bonus reveals, and firm-tier shifts show up in the next refresh, not on a delay.
